The dashboard tracks real-time grid activity to forecast demand and help customers take proactive operational actions. Analysts monitor market data to identify and announce DROPs, which signal a high probability of a Coincident Peak. These alerts help customers prepare for potential peak demand periods.
In the dashboard, DROPs appear as vertical bars on the chart, marking the time periods when a DROP is active or forecasted. When a DROP is announced, a countdown timer appears below the chart. This timer indicates either:
- The time to the next DROP
- The time remaining in an active DROP
To enable or disable SMS notifications of an upcoming DROP, select the SMS icon.
Check off Enable SMS. Enter the mobile phone number that you want to receive the SMS alerts (10–digit number with no spaces or other characters separating the numbers). Select the Advanced Warning Time before a DROP and select Save. To opt out of the SMS notification, go back to the SMS Alert Settings and uncheck the Enable SMS box.
